Common questions

Is TaurAi free to use?

You can create a free account and get 2 document translations to try the platform. After that, paid plans start at $8.99/month. See our pricing page for full details.

Which languages do you support?

We support 44 African languages across six regions: Southern Africa (Shona, Ndebele, isiZulu, isiXhosa, Sesotho, Setswana, Sepedi, Venda, Tsonga, Afrikaans, siSwati, Bemba, Chichewa), East Africa (Swahili, Amharic, Somali, Oromo, Tigrinya, Kinyarwanda, Kirundi, Luganda, Luo, Dinka, Afar, Malagasy), West Africa (Twi, Ewe, Ga, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Fon, Krio, Wolof, Fulfulde, Bambara), Central Africa (Lingala, Kikongo), North Africa (Arabic, Tamazight), plus French, Portuguese, Spanish, and English as cross-regional languages. More on the roadmap.

How good are the translations, honestly?

Quality varies by language and document type. Languages marked Live on our coverage map have been through native-speaker review; those marked Beta have not yet completed it. For specialised terminology you can add your own glossary so that court, clinical, or administrative terms translate the way your institution uses them. For anything legally or medically binding, have a qualified human check the output before you rely on it.

Can I use TaurAi for my organization?

Absolutely. TaurAi is designed for hospitals, courts, schools, and government offices that serve multilingual communities. Contact us for enterprise plans.
